Tiziana Casapietra è curatrice e critica d’arte. Vive e lavora ad Albisola Superiore (SV). Come direttrice del Museo della Ceramica di Savona, dal 2018 al 2021 ha curato iniziative con, tra gli altri, Yona Friedman, Liliana Moro, Multiplicity (con Matteo Ghidoni) e Vincenzo Cabiati, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Franco Raggi. Fondatrice nel 2012 del progetto “Radicate” che ha prodotto più di 200 conversazioni via Skype con alcuni tra i principali interpreti della ricerca artistica contemporanea. Come curatrice indipendente ha lavorato con, tra gli altri, Cherimus, DAAR, Flatform, Masanori Handa. Co-fondatrice e co-direttrice della Biennale di Ceramica nell’Arte Contemporanea dal 2000 al 2006. Ha collaborato come Nominator al volume “Vitamin C, Clay and Ceramic in Contemporary Art”, pubblicato nel 2017 da Phaidon Press, Londra. Suoi scritti sono stati pubblicati su giornali e riviste come Flash Art, Nu-The Nordic Art Review, Abitare, Domus, Il Manifesto e nel volume “Global Circuits”, edito da ACCA, Associazione Catalana di Critica d’Arte, Barcellona. Ha partecipato a incontri e conferenze organizzati da varie istituzioni italiane e straniere tra cui l’Università di Westminster/Building Center di Londra, l’ACCA/MACBA di Barcellona, la National Gallery dello Zimbabwe ad Harare, l’IFA/MMK (Museum für Moderne Kunst) di Francoforte, Lappeenranta K’03, Finlandia. Dal 1994 al 2000 è stata Assistant Editor a Flash Art International, Milano. Dal 1996 al 2009 ha insegnato all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milano.
Tiziana Casapietra is a curator and art critic. She lives and works in Albisola Superiore (Savona, Italy). As director of the Savona Ceramics Museum from 2018 to 2021, she curated various initiatives including Yona Friedman, Liliana Moro, Multiplicity (with Matteo Ghidoni) and Vincenzo Cabiati, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Franco Raggi. In 2012 she founded the project “Radicate” which produced over 200 Skype conversations with some of the main protagonists in contemporary art research. As an independent curator she has worked with, amongst others, Cherimus, DAAR, Flatform, Masanori Handa. Casapietra was the co-founder and co-director of the Biennale of Ceramics in Contemporary Art from 2000 to 2006. She collaborated as nominator on the volume “Vitamin C, Clay and Ceramic in Contemporary Art” published in 2017 by Phaidon Press, London. Her writings have been published in newspapers and magazines such as Flash Art, Nu-The Nordic Art Review, Abitare, Domus, Il Manifesto and in the volume “Global Circuits”, edited by ACCA, Catalan Association of Art Critics, Barcelona. She has participated in discussions and conferences organised by various Italian and international organisations including the University of Westminster/Building Centre, London; ACCA/MACBA in Barcelona; Zimbabwe National Gallery in Harare; IFA/MMK (Museum für Moderne Kunst) in Frankfurt; Lappeenranta K’03, Finland.
